I have been married for 34 years to the same woman……so far. I have 4 sons, My oldest is currently serving in the US Navy and is going to make a career of being a Corpsman. He has served with the Marines for most of his career and is currently in Cuba. My third son served in the Marines. My second son works on a road crew throughout Texas and my fourth son is in a band and works in Austin. I graduated from UTA with a BA in Communications and worked overnights in Dallas before moving to Corsicana to work at KAND. I worked there for several years then bounced around to Malakoff and Waco before landing back in Corsicana to work mornings at The Ranch with Carey Dean on the Morning Thing. in 2006, I left there and completed a MA in Biblical Counseling in 2008 and got my license to counsel in Texas in 2012. I got licensed in insurance in 2017 and in 2018 and in 2018 decided I wanted to work in radio again. Through a series of fortunate happenstance, I walked into KBEC at just the right time.
I grew up listening to Pop, Country, Progressive Country, Rock and forced to listen to Disco because of my little brother. I love all those and Southern Gospel music and Gospel music, Soul, R & B, Southern Rock and even some Bach and Beethoven now and again. I enjoy Texas Country and Red Dirt Country music and that scene now and again, when my old bones are feeling up to it these days.
Tucker is the product of a Rhode Island Red mother and an Australorp rooster who both were lucky enough to escape Pittsburgh, Texas and the wrath of Bo Pilgrim. With only the feathers on their backs, the two parents rode a slow train through the backwoods of Texas and found a one room hen house in Carthage. Tucker was hatched on a cold rainy night in September of 2018. It was reported to be the earliest snow fall in the history of Texas.
