It's Featured Artist Friday and as promised, here are three new songs that are up for rotation! We start off with Thom Shepherd's "Country Police". Thom has credit for writing numerous country hits recorded by other artist including: "Redneck Yacht Club" recorded by Craig Morgan, " Riding with Private Malone" recorded by David Ball and "A Fathers Love" recorded by David Ball. Sheapord is based in Austin, Texas and His latest Single "Simplify" is rated in the Top 20 on both the Texas Regional Report and the Texas Music Charts. Next up we have Sammy Kershaw singing "The Route That I Took (My Tribute to George Jones)". Often referred to as the heir apparent to the legendary voice himself George Jones, Sammy Kershaw helped make the 90’s a shining decade for country music.  It’s a comparison not lost on Sammy, who grew up in the Cajun country of Louisiana on a diet of craw-fish and country music. Finally we have "Borderline Crazy" by Bill Wence. Bill was one of the 30 Founding members of the American Music Association.

It's Featured Artist Friday!

It's Featured Artist Friday and as promised, here are three new songs that are up for rotation! We start off with Craig Morgan's "Corn Star". As an artist, Craig has been a mainstay on the charts with an impressive body of work that includes fourteen Top Ten hits. Craig will also be performing on stage of the Ryman Auditorium on Monday, May 6 as they film the PBS show, "Sing For Your Supper.". Next up we have Marty Stuart with Buck Trent singing "Tear the Woodpile Down". Marty has been recently honored with “The Pilgrim” bronze of his likeness by famed Texas sculptor Craig Campobella as part of the Sounds of Texas Music Series. The "Buck Trent Country Music Show" appears on RFD-TV at 10am every Wednesday. Finally we have "The Real Me" by Shooter Jennings. Jennings premiered the track "Wild & Lonesome" on the 4th season of the FX original series "Sons of Anarchy" and on December 14 he followed up with the release of first official single from the album "The White Trash Song" which premiered on RollingStone.com along with the announcement that the album will be accompanied with a film, also titled "The Other Life".
