    Ken Roberts

    Ken Roberts has been a part of the KBEC team since 1980, when he joined as a senior at Waxahachie High School. Hailing from Waxahachie and having worked at his father's grocery store, Ken always aspired to be on the radio. Today, he serves as the General Manager of KBEC, waking up listeners in Ellis County every morning with the Coffee Cup, Flea Market, and local news. Ken's voice has become synonymous with Ellis County sports, and his passion for radio and local news has made him a well-known figure in the community. With over 40 years of dedicated service to KBEC, Ken has played an instrumental role in shaping the station and ensuring that it continues to serve the needs of the local community.

  • Barry Wolverton
    Barry Wolverton

    Barry Wolverton, a radio veteran with almost four decades of experience, joined KBEC in August of 1993. He co-hosts the weekday morning flea market show alongside Ken Roberts and hosts his own program on KBEC from 1-4 pm every Monday through Friday and is also station advertising manager. Starting his career at the young age of 16, Barry has worked for various stations, including KCLE in Cleburne. Known for his unparalleled sense of humor, Barry's coworkers and KBEC listeners adore him and are continually amused and intrigued by his unpredictable behavior.

    DJ Alex

    Alexx has been a Waxahachie native for 10 years now and loves living in Ellis County! He also owns his own DJ and Karaoke company called DJ Alexx Events. He is so excited to learn the ins and outs of radio and become a part of the KBEC family. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, finding the best BBQ, and rooting for his Dallas Cowboys.

  • David Van Zandt
    David Van Zandt

    Married for 34 years and a proud father of 4 sons, including one who serves in the US Navy as a Corpsman and another who works on a road crew throughout Texas. Graduated with a BA in Communications from UTA and worked in various cities before returning to Corsicana. Completed an MA in Biblical Counseling and became licensed to counsel in Texas, as well as licensed in insurance. Returned to radio in 2018 and currently works at KBEC. Enjoys a diverse range of music, including Pop, Country, Rock, Disco, Southern Gospel, Soul, R&B, Southern Rock, and classical music like Bach and Beethoven. Appreciates Texas Country and Red Dirt Country when feeling up to it.

    At just 16 years old, Jeremy began his career at KBEC. With nearly 30 years of experience in the radio industry, Jeremy has accomplished a great deal, including radio syndication through ABC Radio, working in television, and even owning his own multimedia company. Now, Jeremy has returned to where it all began, serving Ellis County once again with his infectious energy, charm, and down-to-earth approach to life.
