Kelly McGuire brings us "Tropical Vacation" on his Boat in Belize album.  As far as we are concerned, there aren't many better ways to kick off anything (especially our show!) than this song.

"Three Day Drunk Looking for a Place to Happen" is a great Jim Morris song that you might have heard on our show a time or two.  It can be found on the excellent Looking for a Place to Happen record!

We are taking this opportunity to play a really awesome tune called "The Girls from Texas".  This Sunny Jim song is from his Tropicool CD.

Although Ron Bell is a new artist on our show, he has been rockin' it since the '60s!  Check him out and check out this great song called "Conga Line" from his Ron Bell's Trop Rock Party CD.

West Coast Trop Rocker Bob Karwin has won us over with his really cool Proper Attire album.  Here is "Heaven's Out on the Water", which might very well be our favorite track.

We can never have enough Tommy Alverson!  The Godfather of Metroplex Honky-Tonks included this track on his Me on the Jukebox record.

Here's a man after our own hearts!  Trip Hunt, originally from the great city of New Orleans, traveled the US as a young musician and settled down to teach music for the University of Texas.  He now lives in Rockport where he writes and performs Trop Rock that's as good as it gets.  Here is his "Padre Island Time" from the album of the same name.

Jackopierce is an alternative rock band that claims Dallas as its home.  The song we are featuring this evening, "Vineyard", is on their Woman as Salvation CD.

Life's a beach when you're listening to the music of Jim Asbell and the Tropiholics Band!  "Tropiholics" is the title track of their debut album.

Jesse Winchester is an artist that's known among musicians as a top tier songwriter.  We are featuring "Rhumba Man" from his Nothing But a Breeze CD.

Closing out the show for the week will be Joe Bennett and "I Need a Beach", a sentiment we share every day.  It can be found on his aptly named Le Bon Temps Roule album!

That's the show for the week.  Join us every Wednesday evening from 7 - 8 PM for the best in Trop Rock and Gulf Coast Music - only on KBEC 1390!
