You know its going to be a good time when Brent Burns is involved!  Starting us off this week is his "Parrothead Rendezvous" from the fantastic Margarita Smile album.

Speaking of Parrotheads, here's "Parrothead for the Day" from the Cedar Island Band.  From their Island Time CD, this song just shows that being a Parrothead is more of a state of mind than anything.

Thom Shepherd, who just happens to be one of our favorite Texas artists, wrote and recorded "Sand in her Shoes" for his Tropicalifragilisticexpialidocious CD.

Sonny Russell and the Tropics are a new addition to the program.  As always, let us know what you think at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it !  The "JB Song" is from their 1997 Caribbilly for Connoisseurs.

"Fins".  Jimmy BuffettVolcano.  Greatness.  'Nuff said!

"Levee Town" is the title track of the album of the same name by Sonny Landreth.  This song, featuring John Hiatt, is a tribute to one of America's most iconic cities: New Orleans.

From his Row Me Home CD comes Scott Kirby's excellent "Port Outbound Starboard Home".

Here's a song we haven't had the opportunity to play in a while: "Sand Dollar Millionaire".  This tune can be found on Mark Mulligan's Greetings from Mulligan's Island.

It's the Josh Abbott Band that brought us "Matagorda Bay".  Go find a copy of their Small Town Family Dream CD to find more great songs by this great Texas group.

John Reno and the Half-Fast Creekers are always hitting it full speed.  We hope you enjoy "I Lobster But Never Flounder" as much as we do!

Even in Texas, it's a "Long Way to Mexico".  This Roger Creager hit is the title track of the album of the same name.

Rounding things out for the week is the Zac Brown Band and "Toes".  Remember to join us on The Gulf Coast Cowboy Hour every Wednesday evening at 7 for the best in Trop Rock and Gulf Coast Music!
