Thank goodness it's Friday! Let's celebrate with some new music.

This week we've got two excellent cover songs as well as a brand new song!  The first song we'll be playing this week is Alan Jackson's brand new "So You Don't Have to Love Me Anymore" from his upcoming Thirty Miles West album - due out June 5th.  The song was released as a single in January and so far has peaked at #28 on the US Country Charts.  The next song will be Lynn Anderson's cover of "the Wayward Wind" from her 1992 Cowboy's Sweetheart album.  The original version was written by Stanley Lebowski in 1956 and has been performed and recorded by numerous artists.  Our last song for the week will be the Kentucky Headhunter's version of "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away".  This song was originally a Beatles song penned by John Lennon and has been covered by everyone from the Beach Boys to Waylon Jennings.

So, in summary, our new additions for the week are:

  • "So You Don't Have to Love Me Anymore" - Alan Jackson
  • "The Wayward Wind" - Lynn Anderson
  • "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away" - the Kentucky Headhunters

Every Friday, we will be adding a few new songs to the KBEC rotation.  You can hear our choices for the week on the Afternoon Drive.  If you have any comments or suggestions on who we should or shouldn't add, feel free to drop us an e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
