  12. Blame It On Buffett / Kelly McGuire

Bringing us up to speed this week is the great Kelly McGuire - the man who brought us "Long Time No Sea" on the excellent King of the Island CD.

From one of our favorite Gulf Coast Cowboy albums, Ragtops and Flipflops, comes Brent Burns's "Double Wide in the Sky".

"She's Like Texas" is the title track of the Josh Abbott Band's 2010 album.

Once again, we're playing Eric Stone's version of "Southern Cross" by request!  This version is our favorite cover of the Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young classic.

Port Arthur, Texas, is a great place to visit and an even better place to live.  Nobody knows this like Jerry Diaz - so listen to him and Hanna's Reef tell us what so special about a "Port 'A' Saturday Night"!

From his Barometer Soup album, "Mexico" is one of our absolute favorite Buffett songs.

"Gulf Coast Highway" can be found on the 2002 Jim Morris album, the Floating Opera.

Our second Buffett tune for the week, "Fins" is from the 1979 Volcano album.  If you haven't sat down and listened to that whole album all the way through, do your fellow Gulf Coast Cowboys a favor and get on that!  You won't regret it.

Another of our favorite Gulf Coast groups is Howard Livingston and his Mile Marker 24 Band!  "Livin' On Key West Time" can be found on the album of the same name.

The Island Fever Band is from Louisiana and brought us "Jimmy Buffett Music" on their 2003 Pontchartrain CD.

It's from the Fifty Dollar Treasure Map album that one can find Joe Bennett's "Friday Night Feeding Frenzy".  Enjoy!

Wrapping up our show this week is another Kelly McGuire song!  We can, and do, "Blame It On Buffett".  We thank him, too, because without him who knows what the Trop Rock scene would have been!
