The Godfather of Metroplex Honky Tonks brought us "Hilly Country Here I Come" on his 1999 Me on the Jukebox album.  This song was also featured on the Texas Road Trip compilation CD as well as Alverson's Alive and Pickin', which was recorded at the Chatauqua Auditorium in Waxahachie!

"Nautical Man" is from Kelly McGuire's 2011 King of the Island CD.  Released on his Redfish Island label, this great song takes us to the Gulf.

Two Gary P. Nunn songs from What I Like About Texas have caught our Gulf Coast aficionado ears!  "My Kinda Day on Padre" and "Why Don't You Meet Me Down in Corpus" should get you in the Spring Break Mood.  We also found a song off his Greatest Hits Volume 2 to wrap up the playlist: "Redneck Riviera".  Nunn was born in Oklahoma, but migrated south to Texas by the 6th grade.  Although he started his solo career in the late 1970s, Nunn was a regular member of Jerry Jeff Walker's Lost Gonzo Band.  In addition to his musical talents, he is a 1968 graduate of the University of Texas with a Pharmacy degree.  Nunn has 12 albums and was inducted as a member of the Texas Hall of Fame in 2004.

The 2004 CD Lucky Ones gave us this Pat Green song that was first featured a couple of weeks ago on the show.  It has subsequently been requested multiple times!

This Robert Earl Keen song is one of his most beloved.  We thought it would be fitting for tonight's show.

Mark Mulligan brings us great tune on his newest album, Greetings from Mulligan's Island.

The Pirate Sessions are a new (to us at least) group straight out of Nashville.  This song is from their first (and for now, only) album!

Spring Break is afoot and Corpus Christi is on our minds.  If anyone knows a thing or two about Corpus, it would definitely be Larry Joe Taylor!

We sure seem to get a lot of requests for Roger Creager!  So here is "a Pirate Looks at Forty" for all of those who asked for him.

Rounding out our show this week is Joe Bennett and "Sliding Down to Mexico".  See you next week, everyone!  Go have a great Spring Break!
