"Way Back Texas" can be found on the 2006 Cannonball CD.  Pat was born around San Antonio in 1972 and has a passion for Texas Ranger baseball.

"Time Loves a Hero" was performed by Jimmy Buffett and Little Feat on the 2008 Join the Band album.  It was Little Feat's first studio album since 2003 and was recorded in Buffett's studio.  Other artists found on the CD include Bob Seger, Emmylou Harris, Dave Matthews, and Inara George.

Thom Shepherd lives in Bourne, TX, is a cancer survivor, and was first brought to our attention by Roger Christian as an artist that has toured on the Armed Services Entertainment network.  He wrote "Redneck Yacht Club" in 2003 with Steve Williams and the version we are using tonight comes from the Texas Girls album.  "Take a Vacation a Day" and "Sand In Her Shoes" come from one of our favorite CDs, Tropicalifragilisticexpialidocious, released in 2011.  Thom played Gruene Hall on Tuesday, February 28th, and will be at the Coras Grill in Castorville on March 3rd and the River Roadhouse Ice House in New Braunsfels on March 10th.  Thom is with the Twang Thang label and you can read more about him here.

This live version of "Son of a Son of a Sailor" comes from the Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays album, released in 1999.  The album reached #37 on the Billboard Top 200 charts, #33 on the Independent chart, and #8 on the Internet Chart.

Live Across Texas was released in 2004 and features this song that has been requested the past four weeks by Gulf Coast Cowboy fans.  The song "Long Way to Mexico" is becoming a staple of our show!  Creager recently released Surrender, a back-to-the-basics album that even includes a cover of the reggae legend Bob Marley classic, "Redemption Song".

"The Girls from Texas" is from the 2009 Tropicool CD.  The album represents Sunny Jim's fun outlook on life and is considered by many critics to be some of his finest songwriting.

Another song we've had requested over and over is "Toes" by the Zac Brown Band.  Originally from their 2008 the Foundation album, "Toes" was released as a single in 2009 and shot straight up to the #1 spot on the US Country Chart.  It also climbed the US Hot 100, peaking at #25.

We've always got time to get a Brent Burns song in on the Gulf Coast Cowboy HourBurns was recently named the 2011 Trop Rock Music Association Entertainer of the Year as well as the Songwriter of the Year.

Closing out our show this week is another Gulf Coast Cowboy favorite, Howard Livingston's "Livin' On Key West Time".  We're always livin' on Key West time here on the show - and we hope you are too!
