From the 2008 album the Foundation, this Zac Brown Band song is a really great kickoff to this week's show.  Listen in to see what we mean!

"My Retirement Plan" is from Nashville artist Mike Broward's latest CD, Margarita's and Moonshine.

Not only is he our featured artist of the week, Brent Burns is one of our absolute favorite artists from the entire Trop Rock scene.  We have a special treat for our listeners this week: Brent himself will be calling in for a short interview during the show!  You don't want to miss it!  "Livin' the Life (Jimmy Buffett Only Wrote About)" is the title track of his 1999 album.  "Build Them a House" is a song on his Christmas Vacation album and was written as a tribute to Habitat for Humanity, an organization Brent has spent a lot of time, money, and effort on.  "Sand is Getting Heavy in my Shoes" is from his 2007 Ragtops and Flipflops album.  You can read our featured artist article about Brent here!

Roger Creager is one of those musicians we're always happy to hear and this song is no different!  "Long Way to Mexico" is the title track of his 2003 album.

As one of our favorite Texas artists, Tommy Alverson is always welcome on KBEC 1390.  Since he lives in Arlington, which is in our broadcasting range, we hope he has a chance to tune in to hear us play his songs!

A friend of KBEC, Larry Joe Taylor will be hosting his Texas Music Festival in April and we encourage our listeners to check it out.  Take a look at our community calendar for more information!

Grammy Award winning artist Steve Earle brought us this song in his 2011 I'll Never Get Out of this World Alive album.

The Key West Band rock this tune on their 2001 Beach Balls and Alcohol album.

Key West artist Rick Steffen included this track on his 2010 album, More Palm Trees.

Closing out our show for the week is the indispensable Buffett tune, "Bama Breeze".  The song was released as a single in 2006.
