The Texas Theater and KBEC 1390 in Waxahachie are proud to present Shawna Russell live on Saturday, January 21st! The show begins at 9 PM.

If there is any up-and-coming country artist to keep an ear out for, it is Shawna Russell.  Named "Who New to Watch" by the Country Music Association following the release of her debut album, Goddess, Russell has received accolades from fans and music critics alike.  A native of Oklahoma, she boasts a unique sound that ranges from guitar-driven Country Rock to Rhythm and Blues to Americana.  She is currently touring nationwide promoting her newest album, Shawna Russell, and her newest single, "Waitin' on Sunrise".

This concert is part of the KBEC 1390 "Ladies of Texas Music" series.  Portions of the concert will be filmed by CMR Studios for a reality television series pilot entitled "Should've Been Born With Wheels", which focuses on Russell and her life as an independent female recording artist as she performs in over 100 locations across the country with her band while traveling on a vintage Silver Eagle bus once owned by Willie Nelson.  Fans who purchase an advance ticket and a Shawna Russell CD prior to the show will receive a free tour of the "Willie Bus" and an informal meet-and-greet with Russell herself.

Numbered raffle tickets will be handed out at the entrance of the Texas Theater right before the show starts and there will be three prizes given out during the concert.  The First Prize will be a guitar autographed by Russell herself, the Second Prize will be a Shawna Russell t-shirt and autographed CD, and the Grand Prize will be VIP passes to Billy Bob's Texas to see Russell open for either Robert Earl Keen (February 24th) or B. B. King (February 25th) - the winner gets to choose!
