A rising star from east Texas, Brandon Rhyder is definitely someone to keep an eye on.

From the town of Carthage, Rhyder grew up near the Texas/Louisiana border and attended school at the University of Texas at Tyler.  He has mixed a little bit of Red Dirt with a little bit of Texas Country to make a unique sound that is getting him some well-deserved acclaim.  He released his first CD, Because She Loves Me, in 2001, his second, Behind the Pine Curtain, in 2003, and his third, Conviction, in 2005.  The modest success of the albums and his hard work as a touring act began to pay off as people started to notice and he started making the Texas Country Music Chart.

Rhyder's next album, Live, boosted him to national recognition as he made the coveted #1 spot on the Texas Country Music Chart with his single "Before I Knew Your Name".  The next year, 2008, he released another studio album, Every Night, which finally cracked the Billboard US Country Charts at #53.  His 2010 album, Head Above Water, has been his most successful so far, peaking at #41.  It also spawned another #1 Texas Country Music Chart single, "Rock Angel".  That brings his total chart topping singles to 17, with 3 Top 20 singles, 2 Top 10 singles, 3 Top 5 singles, and 2 #1 singles.

The latest album, Live at Billy Bob's Texas, was released in August of 2011.  Rhyder and his band are currently hitting the pavement and doing a promotional tour across the country.  If you'd like to learn more about Brandon Rhyder and his band, you can visit their official website here.
